Since his admission as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 1978 Michael has gained skills in many areas of law including:
Accreditation as a Family Law Specialist covering financial settlements, children’s issues, child support, spouse support and ancilliary issues
15 years as a duty solicitor advocate at the Bidura Children’s Court at Glebe
Extensive criminal and apprehended violence order experience especially in Manly Local Court
Economic and commercial expertise providing insight into business, company and trust matters
30 years experience in property transactions including houses, units, investment & commercial real estate as well as leasing arrangements, retirement villages & nursing homes
Michael has been active in supporting the Northern Beaches community over the last 30 years including provision of free legal advice through the Manly Community Centre, serving on the committee to restore the heritage building from which it operates; providing coaching at local schools in the Mock Trial Competition conducted by the Law Society and serving on the Manly Hospital Human Research and Ethics Committee. He is closely involved with the Manly Lifesaving Club where he has served as a volunteer lifesaver, patrol captain, rescue boat driver, trainer, assessor and honorary legal advisor.
